Hello all.
I just purchased a Mirafone (Miraphone) single Bb horn off of ebay. The horn arrived and is excellent, to say the least. First rate all the way. However, the diameter of the tubing is the smallest I've ever seen on a horn, trumpet, or coronet. The thumb valve has the usual slide and "H" tubing extension found on most Bb horns. However, this horn also has a slide and "H" tubing on the first valve. Anyone have any idea why? Did Mirafone ever make a Geyer style double? If it plays as well as this horn, I'd be willing to buy one. I know they made an 8D copy which was an excellent horn. One of my section mates has one. Thanks.
