I'm curious, too. I'd like to see this.

Subject: Re: [Hornlist] Mirafone Questions

My brass Yahoo-based brass gallery has one sample of a Miraphone Geyer wrap
double horn. There also is a page from a 1958 flyer showing a double horn with
4
in-line valves, only the shift valve sits next to the 1st valve.

Are the two H-inserts of the same length? If so there may be a simple
explanation. Mirafone was strongly directed towards the school and college
markets. If your horn comes from such source, one of the H-inserts simply may
be
a misplaced sample from one of teh other school horns. A Swedish friend
experienced the opposite situation with a Hoyer single Bb, but got the missing
insert, when going back to the selling school.

I very much would like getting the photos of your horn. Is the auction still
visible on the web?

Klaus
