Don't forget though, Phil Farkas played an 8D in the Chicago Symphony in the 50s and another member of the section (sorry I'm blanking on whom at the moment) played a 28D. Gail Williams was runner up playing an 8D on one of the CSO auditions before the one where she won the job.
