Apologies for my perhaps ambiguous wording; I meant passages where the composer specifies in the score that the section stand.
In Mahler 1, it's the finale, upbeat to bar 657 [RN 56]. As for cudos/kudos, I'd hope that any honorable conductor would offer a a bow to the section after Haydn 31, the "Eroica", the "Freischütz" overture, just to start the list--not to mention Mahler 1! Best wishes-- jl On 10/17/2010 11:19 AM, [email protected] wrote: > Stand for cudos at the end or do you mean there is a spot where the horns > stand and play a certain section?? > > Ethel Epstein, > Cleveland, Ohio > _______________________________________________ post: [email protected] unsubscribe or set options at https://pegasus.memphis.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
