I think the best way to build endurance is to play duets.  It's too easy to 
stop when you're playing alone.  4-5 hours of duets every day for 6 weeks or so 
should do something for you.  You'll either die, or figure out how to keep 
playing even after your chops have turned to floppy scraps of burnt rubber.
