"Phoenix Rising" by Thea Musgrave I think has this. I happened to see the US premier in Boston back in 1999. I recall that the principal horn starts by playing off-stage and continues playing while walking on stage. Upon arriving at the horn section and playing some more, I think the rest of the section stands up and plays that way for a while. It's a very exciting piece that's worth seeking out.
