Almost four years ago, I purchased an NR501 Atkinson double horn. I love the horn and the way it plays, much easier than my old 8D, but I'm wondering if it's my perspiration or something else that is causing the lacquer on the rose brass parts to come off. It is especially noticeable on the inside of the bell where, of course, my hand goes. While this does not affect my playing, I sometimes long for a "pretty" horn. I know I could just strip off all the lacquer or I could send it in and get a re-lacquer done. I'm just curious if it's just me or if anyone else has had this issue?
