Maybe I exaggerated a little with "gave up the ghost" - there are just a
couple of niggles which, when viewed alongside the difficulty in easily
getting new disks, make me feel that I'd like to replace it.

The battery supplied no longer holds charge, nor will it be recharged.
There appears to be a problem with the external microphone socket (a friend
who has the same machine and same microphone has exactly the same problem).

I think I should say that I bought this a very long time ago and it has
lasted amazingly well and still works well when plugged into the mains. I
know you can still get disks on the web, but I now know nowhere where I can
walk into the shop and buy them.

These are little niggles I know, and easily overcome but I'd rather have
something with no niggles at all.

Cheers,

Lawrence
