or similar and set the metronome for 168 or 176, then try tapping the
rhythm of horn part on your desk.

I last about 2 or 3 measures before I find myself tapping _on_ the
beat instead of on the afterbeat as written.

I just did a bit of experimenting - I can keep up the correct rhythm
forever with the metronome at 120.  With the metronome set to 144, I
last about 10 bars before I revert to tapping on the beat.

Daniel, all I can say is that you have my sympathy - this is indeed a
fast tempo for this sort of thing.
