Daniel, sorry also, but some people like sausages, others like steak,
some like chili, others like sugar. Taste is as different as people are. 
I cannot read any offense in Williams message at all. 
He just like other composers operas, Wagner, Mozart, Puccini,
R.Strauss. Who knows ?  Has nothing to do with mathematics.

Well, I do understand your objections, as "Verdi" is regarded as
a "holy cow" in Italy. Why not. He is one of your national heroes.
