At one of the first Horn Symposia, Horace Fitzpatrick came and played on a brass horn. I don't remember anything but the awful blatty sound he got. Several years later, he returned with a Sterling Silver natural horn. This time he had the most beautiful sound in the world. I don't know if the mouthpiece was different, but I still remember the change in tone quality all these years later!
