Q: So, TOL is basically the tip of the tongue between the lips, thus creating more of a "Thu" sound than "Tu?" A: Yes. But, TOL can be done with a tu, thu, or du sound. It's very flexible once you get the hang of it.
Q: For these 4-5 minutes a day of TOL, would you recommend free buzzing, or mouthpiece buzzing, or actually playing the horn? A: Playing on the horn.... but Jerome Callet recommends free buzzing w/ TOL. It's kinda like spitting; hard to describe. See his Super Chops website.
