Many of you are aware that I sell most of my resurrected horns through
hornplayer.net, and I regard it as a most valuable resource as a free
marketplace, as well as a source of considerable information. I have
been active on it for the last five years.

I received direct notice that effective Aug 18, Robbin Moffat of
Yorkshire, UK will cease to operate hornplayer.net. According to
information on the home page, he has run the site since 1996.

Here is an excerpt from his message.

"I am pleased to let you know that the IHS will be acquiring
hornplayer.net and taking on full responsibility for it. On 18th August,
the ownership will formally pass to the International Horn Society
(IHS). Dan Phillips will be managing the running of the site.

The IHS plan to migrate and merge hornplayer.net into their site,
retaining the domain name and redirecting visitors. At this point,
hornplayer.net in its current incarnation will cease. The approximate
lead time on this is expected to be circa two months."

Robin is a new father, and we wish him well in his new life and revised
priorities.
