William, the light brown thin folio format book ? no better choice for 
beginners, as agility is acquired 
through such exercises within the harmonics of the horn. One has only to care, 
that the youngsters are not too ambitious reaching for the written g2 (on top) 
or high c too early.

This is exactly how I began with the horn, but did it on a 150 years old hand 
horn.

The other advantage of that method is to get a good feeling about the horn 
sound.
