Hello, there is something else very important:
developing a very good systematic to keep the memory in such an order, to find the things if necessary. I might describe it, as I got it in school: do you know the old special "shrank"/cupboard as they had or still have (modernized off course) in the pharmacy ? The shrank with all these big, medium or small files, containing sub files which contain subfiles again. This is the way to very good functioning memory. And thinking in pictures, even when reading. This helps identifying names (e.g.) instantly, same as "face identification" as you find in picture software. But again: all must be trained & used consequently. It helps playing a piece, if you know the solo part or orchestra part that well, that you can say on which place on the part a particular phrase can be found. Develop a quasi photographic memory. It helps very much. Just meant to encourage working on it. _______________________________________________ post: [email protected] unsubscribe or set options at https://pegasus.memphis.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
