HI Mark,

When I go into schools and do demonstration concerts, one kid will always ask, why do you have dimes on your valves...the best question (by a third grader last year) was, do you ever get your hand stuck in your bell? I faked having my hand stuck in it, acted as if I were pulling my hand out and said like I was exerting great effort, and said, NO! got a pretty good laugh...

I was looking at my horn during pit practice last night, and realized I have
several things "hanging" from it. I have a hand guard, Alex flipper, Berp,
and a pencil holder. What's left? The pencil holder and Berp have become
conversation pieces for my students!
