Valerie:
You might try paying a pianist you like to play with on a bi-weekly basis and
studying pieces to play at your sessions, i.e., Saint-Saens Romance in F,
Glauzanoff Reverie, or any other solos. Then when you feel brave, organize a
duo recital or call up a church and see if they need incidental music for a
service.
There's nothing like a performance to take you to the next level and really
focus your mind.
Regards,
William Klingelhoffer
