The cheapest slide marker I have seen is the judicious use of a Sharpie to mark 
the slide.?

$11.95 each??  OUCH!!  I use plumbers "O" rings, 2 or 3 on each slide
so they don't move without intention....around a nickel each at
hardware stores.
