I've been playing some of the beginning pieces from Book I of the Pottag duets (for two French Horns) - does anyone know if there is a link to the original of all the melodies used?
E.g., #1 is Mozart but I confess I don't recognize it. #2 is a Schubert song I know, Heidenröslein, in a rather abbreviated form. #3 is Mendelssohn and I'm particularly fond of this one but again have no idea where it might be from. #4 - no idea #5 - I am assuming, since it's titled "Der Freischutz" that it's from the opera of the same name. #6 - I assume it's a Schubert song but I confess it is one with which I am again not familiar. I would appreciate any info on these specific selections or for a list to where all of them come from.
