I've played one many years ago. It was considered an entry-level horn at the time, mostly bought by horn students who were taking their first steps on the natural horn path. It wasn't at all bad, especially considering what you get for the relatively low price. At the end it played a bit too "modern" for my taste. It felt a lot closer to my Alex 103 than to the early 19th century Courtois I now have. Nowadays some high profile natural horn specialists play a Jiracek, especially for later works. The principal horn of the Orchestre des Champs Elysées plays one almost exclusively. It's probably a good buy, especially if you're starting out on natural horn. (There's a second hand one for sale in Holland right now ;) )
