I use a (Karrimor) backpack without the external frame. My Alex case fits right in. Just right for 2 wheeled transport. But I fear this "wide" style pack is out of fashion these days. Climbers prefer the tall thin ones with internal frames. You need to test it before you buy it.

These packs are really comfortable and also give you the option of switching to the normal hand-held hard case when you get where you are going.
