Kate, Bing will be our primary imagery provider (hopefully - tbc) http://mapsforall.org/initial/ImageryRequirements
But in the case where we can't get Bing imagery for a specified area at all or in a timely manner - we want to have a secondary channel so that we are not hedging all of our bets on Bing. If you or Mikel could please send me the supplier info that would really help. This obviously won't work everywhere but could hurt. HOT usually doesn't buy imagery, I got close to actual purchasing it from a supplier at one point, but then Bing announced we could use theres.
