I am very much interested in reading lists and google+ hangouts. With regards to the latter, it would be extremely useful to have a weekly/bi-weekly hangout (the consistency is what's important here) about the technical aspects of the tasks as well as more strategic framings. As a beginner, I want to learn more about how to read satellite imagery -- who/where I can ask when I am unsure of something, and how I know if I'm getting "better." I plan to start a google hangout in New York City on some of these topics -- sort of figuring it out as I go along - with the first this Friday. I would love to coordinate with anyone more experienced.
