As Tyler was saying a few weeks back, HOT are one of the top 3 finalists in the
Social Impact category of the "Open Data Awards".

I'll be going along tonight, and hoping to pick up an award on behalf of
HOTties everywhere. You can actually tune in and "listen live" on the website
http://awards.theodi.org if you fancy it. The awards should be happening at
19:20 UK time
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?iso=20150709T1920&p1=136

So fingers crossed for an award!

Harry Wood

shortlisted in the Social Impact category!

Dear all,

Earlier Heather sent a note about HOT being shortlisted for an Open Data Award.
I'm very happy to announce that HOT is now a finalist (one of the top 3 in the
Social Impact category). This is something to be proud of, as HOT is one of
only 15 out of 500 nominations to have this honor. This is all thanks to the
work you are doing each day.

---[Announcement follows]---

Dear Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team,

I’m writing to update you with you some good news – you have made it through
to the final three as a finalist of the Social Impact category of the Open Data
Awards 2015.

The judges found it really tough to pick their top three for each category and
also commented on how high the standard of entries was this year.

What happens next?

It is very important that you, or a representative, are able to attend the
awards ceremony on 9 July at the Bloomberg offices in London. The winner of
each category will be announced on the evening and our founders, Tim
Berners-Lee and Nigel Shadbolt will announce the winners and present them with
their award trophy.
There will also be press opportunities for our finalists as part of the press
room at the Awards - we have a number of journalists covering the evening,
including Bloomberg who are our awards partner. There will also be an
opportunity to have a winners' photo taken by our photographer should you
win. You can find an agenda for the evening here.
