Hi all, I used following command to install printer Konica Minolta Page Pro 9100 on my Linux platform.
lpadmin -p km9100 -E -v socket://km9100 -P HP-LaserJet_5100-hpijs.ppd -o PageSize=A4 As you have already seen, the ppd file is HP LaserJet 5100's which comes from HPLIP. The result is incredible that the Konica Minolta Page Pro 9100 works well with HP5100's ppd file, the CID (CJK) PostScript file also can be printed out with customized GhostScript. My question is whether possible to reuse ppd file to other printer even non-HP brand? If it's impossible, how can I create a ppd file which relies on GhostScript by my self?
