Hi Aaron, I am using hplip-0.9.11-1.2 which comes with Fedora Core 5. The ppd file is also from the distro. As I said, it is identical to the ppd provided by linuxprinting.org.
Honestly, I would not like to reinstall hplip from source, as this would complicate further updates. Also, it seems the problem is not with the software but rather with the ppd file...
