For scanning can you review this document for some possible direction:

For faxing problems, can you run hp-sendfax -g and try to fax and post the output? As well run tail -f /var/log/messages and post any errors generated there as well.

When trying to scan using Kooka or scanimage, nothing is scanned. The device

etc.) because the line seems always to be busy (while it definitely isn't).
Any ideas?
