Dear all, I'm using the hplip DRIVER in my Debian Etch connected to a HP
PSC 1410. A pair of days ago, when I wanto to print from Xpdf, Kwrite or
Kedit I can't do that....just can print from Kword, Kspread and other
Office packages. The error message is this:

Connection to CUPS server failed.
Check that the CUPS server is correctly installed and running.
Error: localhost: read failed (15).

And I have this packages installed

cupsys 1.2.4-2+b1 Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - server
cupsys-bsd     1.2.4-2+b1     Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - BSD comman
cupsys-client  1.2.4-2+b1     Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - client pro
cupsys-common  1.2.4-2        Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - common fil
cupsys-driver- 5.0.0-2 printer drivers for CUPS
cupsys-driver- 5.0.0-2 printer drivers for CUPS

I run "apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade" once a week and it's
possible that cupsys was upgraded and ask you if this could be the
problem, in other words this cupsys version is bad ???

Thanks a lot,

Alejandro
