Connect the printer directly to the windows box 2. Install only what you need, leaving out all the "crap" that you mentioned. 3. Make it print directly from Windows without getting complaints of "driver not correctly installed". 4. Reconnect the printer to the Linux box 5. Change the printer interface on the windows box from usb to network, preferably to ipp (I am assuming that you are working with XP or 2000).
