There may be an issue with the installer and using a 64 bit system. I'll
need to look into it further. However right now you'll want to remove
hplip. Go into the source directory and enter:
make uninstall
and then
rm -rf /usr/share/hplip
Then follow the instructions from here:
http://hplip.sourceforge.net/install/manual/configure.html
be sure to follow the direction for 64 bit users.
This should resolve your printing problems.
