Hello Steve,

HP LaserJet 1018 is currently not supported on Linux. We are in the
process of evaluating the feasibility of supporting the printer. There
is, however, a third party driver that does support the printer. Please
go to http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com/ for details. We are sorry about the
inconvenience this may have caused you.

Regards,
HP Linux Imaging and Printing Team

Subject: [Hplip-help] HP LaserJet 1018

The HP LaserJet 1018 bought new today is not supported in Linux. Should
I keep it or take it back? I am not competent enough to do anything
tricky to install it.
Many thanks,
Steve Lindt
