I found an answer !
When we add a printer with the Ubuntu's graphic tool (Administration /
Printer) :
1 - choose "network printer" and CUPS as protocol
2 – the ipp address might be ipp://192.168.0.30/ipp
You must use the "hp" backend to see the printer in the HPLIP toolbox. The
URI should be of the form "hp:/...". Use hp-setup, hp-makeuri, or hp-probe
to determine this address (or with hp-setup to install it as well).
3 – For the printer model, i had NOT to choose "LaserJet 5000 Postcript
(recommended)" but "LaserJet 5000" and then you reach "HPLIP 0.97" mode in
the same window
Afterwards, you can use the printer. Nevertheless I can't see the printer
in HPLIP tool
Probably, I'm not so easy to understand (language problem...)
Thanks to the people who have answered.

*Objet : *[Hplip-help] Ubuntu : install a LaserJet 5000n (JetDirect) in
CUPS -ipp
With Ubuntu 6.06, I've added a network printer (LaserJet 5000n) with is
own IP address (192.168.0.30).
For the connection, I choose "HPjetDirect" and the IP address. Then, it's
possible to print but all functions are not avalaible (choose the right
drawer for the paper for example).
If I open HPLIP, it says that no printer is installed and that I must use
CUPS utility.
When I add a new printer (by the specific graphic tool of Ubuntu), I can
choose CUPS for the connection (instead of JetDirect) but I must type the
ipp address of he printer up, like ipp://192.168.0.30:631/ipp "HP LaserJet
5000 Series" but then it fails to print.
With Ubuntu, it's not possible to add directly a printer in CUPS by
http://localhost:631 : it's locked
Where I make a mistake ?
I checked : the 631 port is open for ipp on the printer
Might I keep JetDirect connection ? Or type the ipp address in another way
?
Thanks.
