I like your suggestion about uninstall - we do need to add some more info on
the website about that.

1. I went into the installation directory and execute "make install"
(did I missed another command?)
2. I reinstalled 1.7.4a - everything seems to be fine - uuuufff.. ;-)
PS: you should add an chapter "uninstall" in installing instructions
or/and troubleshooting
