Try this:
Change the value of MediaPosition to 7, i.e.,
*InputSlot Tray1/Tray 1: "<<ManualFeed false /MediaPosition 7>>
setpagedevice"
What this does is when you select Tray 1, the printer is asked to pick
from source 7.
Source 7 means automatic tray selection, i.e., the printer firware
decides where to
get the paper from.
Hope this helps.

Trays 2 and 3 are standard trays, so there is no item in the CUPS option
webpage to enable or disable these trays. Only optional tray 1 can be
disabled. But it seems that the print jobs are not prepared by a
Postscript-preface in such a way that the printer recognizes the CUPS
settings.

Is there somebody of the HP team out there who might have a simple
answer?

Thanks again
Andreas
