A few notes on the current snapshot. I still have yet to reproduce
the bug with HtRegexList previously reported and the new code seems
to be causing yet other problems. Suggestions welcome--the code that
went into 3.2.0b3 was cautious but horribly inefficient.

The new snapshot has code contributed by Joshua Gerth for SSL
support, notably for HTTPS connections. The configure script should
do checks for OpenSSL now and turn that on if it's found. This is
obviously a much nicer method of doing HTTPS than the hacks to 3.1.5.
(Note to Joe Jah, the problem with the patches to 3.1.x to support
other protocols is that large chunks of the code were never really
intended for this.)

If I can nail down the problems in HtRegexList, I'd like to switch
htsearch to Quim Sanmarti's new query parser. This is one of the two
remaining big tasks before 3.2 can come out. The catch is that at
least for a while after the switch is made, a few htsearch features
will break (i.e. collections). If people testing snapshots will miss
collections speak now!
