This would be great! All we need are volunteers to write the HOWTOs.
We've had a few guides written already, which are in the Contributed
Works section of the site. Perhaps we can make these more prominent.
They would fall in the class of HOWTO documents, I think, and they
address specific configuration issues (PHP, Cygwin on Windows, etc.).
We would dearly love to expand this, but we need submissions.

That's a very good point! So, I think we've established the need
to maintain a complete list in attrs.html. However, with automatic
generation, there's really nothing preventing us to produce additional
pages with subsets of the whole list based on attribute type, program,
function, version, or anything else we can think of, or for that matter
even little files for each attribute separately. The other thing to
consider is the "cross-reference" links, when the description for one
attribute refers to another. Right now it's hard-coded as tags like
<a href="#local_urls">...</a>, but the script could fairly easily rewrite
these to refer to other files as appropriate, i.e. either add in the
attrs.html before the "#" if the reference is placed in a file other than
attrs.html, or even refer to another page that will contain the required
section (e.g. attrs_htdig.html#local_urls or attr_local_urls.html).
