Gabriele et al.,

I have posted my changes to htdig-general and hopefully they are being
reviewed this weekend.

If a number of people can do me the honor of reviewing my changes and make
sure I have not made any
boneheaded mistakes with my changes I would be deeply in your debt.  I have
unfortunately not been
programming in C/C++ for over a year now, mainly Perl and server side
JavaScript (oh the pain and
agony!!).
