Sorry, but this isn't very helpful. You have provided the htdig version indirectly, but you haven't said anything about the compiler you're using (and version), or other aspects of your build environment. The code is known to compile with any of the newer versions of gcc/g++ for SPARC (e.g. gcc 2.95.2 or newer).
