Ahhhhhhh ok thanks is there anything I can do ?? the db files will be very big - I indexed one month of issues for one of our titles and the db.words.db (3.1.6) file was 136MB. I don't know why it won't work out for me - I know of at least two other large news sites using htdig. They seem to be using 3.1.6. One is using exclude values to restrict access to areas of the site but this would mean they are using on db set. The other is using a seperate db set for each major section of the site (News, Sport, Entertainment etc) but they also have a search for the entire site. Does this mena that they have a lagre db set which includes all of the other sections??
Is there any way to use multiple dbs in 3.1.6?? sorry to keep on about this but we are so close. thanks for your help Sean -----Original Message----- From: Geoff Hutchison [mailto:ghutchis@;wso.williams.edu] Sent: Wednesday, November 06, 2002 2:55 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: Gilles Detillieux; ht://Dig mailing list Subject: Re: [htdig] HTMerge /mifluz On Wednesday, November 6, 2002, at 08:44 AM, Sean Downey wrote: > In 3.2 you could specify a config variable for htsearch like > config="news|sports|entertainment" > is this possible in 3.1.6?? - it doesn't seem to be working for me at > the > moment. No. This is what we term "collections" and it's only a feature of 3.2. -- -Geoff Hutchison Williams Students Online http://wso.williams.edu/ ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: See the NEW Palm Tungsten T handheld.
