You may want to check that your external parsers are working ok.

Firstly, you should check the main conversion program (CATDOC for XLS?) by executing it from the command line with an XLS file, and see what you get returned. It should either a) create a plain text output file, or b) send the output to the screen as plain text.
Then you should do the same with parse_doc.pl.

If both of those are working, then it must be another problem.

Regards,

Rupert.

Jasmen,

Could you have "test" in your list of bad words?

Have you consulted the FAQ at http://htdig.org? See FAQs 4.8, 5.37 &
5.39.

Subject: [htdig] htdig doesn't found excel files! Why????

Hello,

I use for parsing my Excel files the xlhtml-0.5 parser!
If I set start_url to test.xls (with "test test" many times as content)

and

run rundig -ivvv, I get output, that test.xls was parsed. But if I get
"test" in the search form I get message "Nothing found"!

What is wrong hier?

Thanks and best regards!
jasmen
