You may want to check that your external parsers are working ok. Firstly, you should check the main conversion program (CATDOC for XLS?) by executing it from the command line with an XLS file, and see what you get returned. It should either a) create a plain text output file, or b) send the output to the screen as plain text. Then you should do the same with parse_doc.pl. If both of those are working, then it must be another problem. Regards, Rupert.
