I am using htdig 3.1.6 running on a Linux server, to search multiple directories of (mainly) word files, and it works very well (and very quick).
The search page is just the standard html off the web site. However if we specify more than one word in the search, then htdig comes back and shows us the boolean expression that it "uses" using "and" (which is what we want), however the actual search seems to be "or" not "and". Here is a jpg of the screen results: http://www.abandonmicrosoft.co.uk/temp/search.jpg as you can see the 1st entry only contains the first word ("london" in this case), so it seems to be doing "or" not "and". I have "method: and" in the config file, and also the html passes "and" (as you can see by the URL in the top). I have loaded up the relevant document and confirmed that the word "terrace" does not appear in it, even past the extract that it shows. Any ideas? -- Cheers Brian Reliable, secure and affordable Office servers using Open Source software http://www.abandonmicrosoft.co.uk ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
