Vivien, While htdig sometimes has issues with accented or extended characters, that does not sound like the problem you are having. htdig has no concept of language, only of words, so I suspect that you have some sort of configuration problem if pages in other languages are not being indexed. To consider: are there any hyperlinks from one language to the others, or is this handled by a form, a script, or server-side? Does your include and exclude sections of your config make sense for the non-English portions of your site?
