The answer is that you almost certainly can - maybe with separate
databases, but probably just with judicious use of 'Exclude'

If you have a live site, or could provide further detail of how you
fixed your initial issue I could give you more informed advice.

PS The way this list handles email addresses is slightly strange - for
replies to go to the list you must either 'reply all' or something
similar.
