Actually, if you re-read my original message, you could probably divine
(now I've told you) what my real hope was...  is that the database and
htdig changes were already made and the search piece needed some help or
something like that.

I'm planning on using it on my own box here so I will probably submit some
patches.   If the phrase searching was a matter of sticking my nose in my
computer screen for 8 hours I'd probably do that too...  But I'd prefer
not to have to reverse-engineer all the database code (It's one thing to
patch one part of the code, it's a whole 'nother thing to have to learn
the whole thing...)

Sounds good.   If there's something reasonable I can do to help out let me
know.   

BTW, let me compliment whoever is responsible for the coding style...
What I did dig through looked great.    I think they even put the { in the
right spot.  (I'm almost convinced that open curly brace placement is
almost as bad of topic between programmers as where to squeeze the
toothpaste tube is between couples...)
