From tests, having a well crafted comparison function
greatly reduces the number of times it's called. I'll dive into that.
It does not really help page splits. Random insertions will always lead
to 50% fill factor anyway. And we should provide a prefix function to
gain advantage of the suffix reduction and reduce the number of internal
pages (they should really change that name, too misleading).
