The gunzip command will only decompress the archive file, but not
extract files from it. You will have to issue a "tar xf htdig-3_1_2_tar"
command after this.
If you use GNU tar, you can combine the task of decompressing and
extracting the archive by issuing "tar xfz htdig-3_1_2_tar.gz".
Both commands should not take too much time - at least not a full
hour. But this also heavily depends upon the workload on the server
you're working at and upon how much CPU is granted to your login
process.
