To get htdig installed and operable (on a BSD-unix site), had to do following
"tweaks"; system now appears to be operating:
A. Create a version of "make", from the GNU distribution, to handle the
makefiles generated by installation process. To invoke this (vice BSD make),
had to specify directory where it resides.
B. To get htsearch recognized as a cgi, had to rename it htsearch.cgi.
My specific question is -- will either of the above impact normal operation
of the package? ie, will either indexing or searching ever invoke "make" or
"htsearch", and expect to find them under their customary names/places.
