The make program is only needed for building source. Once a program is
installed, it will not invoke make. (This is generally true for all
programs, not just ht://Dig.)
As far as htsearch, the only restriction on the name is via the search
forms that refer to it. If you change the name, you'll need to edit the
HTML form.
