I have just installed htDig at my site at Mindspring and have two questions:

1. We want to buy the Dansie shopping cart (http://dansie.net/) which is a
cookie based cart which uses the IP address if no cookie is available. Do you
see any conflict with the htDig search engine and this type of shopping cart?
I don't know enough about either to be able to tell.

2. I've been reading the mail archives and it seemed to say that you can't
have people searching and rebuild the data base at the same time. Since my
site is always up (it's actually my company's site), once I go live, there's
probably always going to be someone searching.

Were the people in the archives wrong? Or is there a special way to set up the
configure file so that people can search and I can rebuilt the database when I
get new products.

3. When I did MindSping's automatic install and I didn't get the latest
version which fixed the security bug. I already emailed MindSpring. If they
don't want to update my version, is there anything I personally can do?

Thanks for your help.

Susan
