Fooey. I made the exception when it generates cf_byprog.html, but I 
agree with your comments about howitworks.html and using it for 
"all.html" I'll take out the exception when modifying it.

Well, almost all the documentation will require updating and careful 
checking to make sure it's correct. I mentioned a few of the problems 
in the STATUS file. But I think it would be a good idea to give 
blurbs of the various new programs so people can see an overview of 
what's available now.

So I guess my question would be whether we want howitworks.html and 
all.html to be the same thing or different? My vote would probably be 
for the former, though CVS doesn't handle symbolic links well.
